However, most of them have an arcade feel: fast-paced, forgiving, and using only the bare minimum level of physics. It’s just that the driving feel of rFactor beats it hands down in all of those categories except drifting.There are tons of driving and racing games out there. That’s really the main thing it has going for it in my opinion, since I still drive Assetto a ton for the versatility between drifting, road racing, and open-wheelers.

Their content model relies on the steam workshop for pretty much everything which I thought was odd, so if you were using content manager for AC it’s a slower process to add and manage content.

If you’re coming from assetto just be ready for a much more convoluted process of adding mods and content, unless you primarily wanted to race official DLC. Should you guys buy it, YES OF COURSE, but dont buy so much, some content is not used very much like formula e, reiza cars (that feel awesome but communities dont use.) etc. I am also a fan of this sim but i am a critical realistic simracer, i see the whole piece and they still have to improve so much, we have been waiting many years, but yeah they are in the right way.may be they should go a bit faster because The Earth keeps rolling and new Graphic Engines are coming. The trick to getting the most out of this game is getting into a few communities on discord so you have friends to race with and help when required. I myself had a few on the blog and they have implemented 2 suggestions which I made - whether that’s because of me or they were coming anyway I don’t know. Not listening to their players I do not know what you’re talking about, they have been doing regular q&a blog posts which were huge because they answered every question they took. They have been hiring new staff this year so hopefully that makes for a better development pace. Improving the game in the past year they have done a few decent steps and now the UI is another step in the right direction. If you’re interested in endurance there is a few which get 30+ cars. League-wise you can easy get into races with 30 people. But for quick open races you have the official open servers or the competition system which can have as low as 1 or 2 opponents but commonly you get 10+ at prime times. It’s quieter than AC/C, partially because it is harder so there’s more of a learning curve.
